Animals in Distress, Inc. is a small non-profit rescue located in Mercerville, NJ. 

 

Our adoption room is known locally as The Cat Cottage. It is a homey space with picture size windows and skylights where you can meet & greet with many of our adoptable cats outside of their cages. Visitors are invited to interact with available pets, and encouraged to ask questions. Since our adoption room is small, we are scheduling visits by appointment only to ensure that each family has the full attention of our volunteers and is able to interact freely with the cats and kittens. We also have dedicated foster homes where some of our meet & greets take place. 

 

To arrange a visit, please send a brief email telling us a little about your household and your reasons for looking to adopt, as well as your availability to meet & greet (weekdays, weeknights, or weekends) and we will get back to you with times available.
