Pet Insurance with Trupanion

Animals In Distress has partnered with Trupanion to provide 30 DAYS of FREE pet insurance starting on adoption day. Details are as follows:

• We will help you fill out the short and easy application at your adoption appointment.

• Payment information is not required to sign up. At the end of your free 30 day period, you may decide to continue coverage with Trupanion, sign up with a different company of your choosing, or discontinue pet insurance. 

• Coverage begins immediately. There is no 2-week waiting period for coverage to kick in which is the standard when signing up for pet insurance. This provides peace of mind that any condition that may occur within the first 30 days after adopting will be covered by Trupanion for the animal's lifespan.

• There is a $250 deductible, 90% coverage for accidents, injuries and illness, and no payout limit.

• Participating veterinary hospitals can be paid directly by Trupanion.

• Pre-existing conditions known at time of adoption will not be covered.
