Along the way, we come across kitties with terminal health conditions. As long as these babies have quality of life, our fosters shower them with love, affection, comfort, and any kind of support they need. When quality of life is affected, and it is clear that it's time for them to cross the rainbow bridge, we work with our veterinary team to provide peaceful and humane euthanasia. Your donation helps us provide supportive treatments and a peaceful passing for the most deserving of souls.

Munchkin crossed the rainbow bridge at only 10 months old. She was saved in December 2025 during a snow storm. Our veterinary team determined she had a neurodegenerative disorder called "storage syndrome" that caused her tremors and wobbliness and would eventually prove fatal. She was spoiled in her foster home for her golden hours.

Shadow crossed the rainbow bridge at 12 years old. She was saved in December 2025 during a snow storm after living 4 years outdoors, dumped after her owners passed away from COVID. Our veterinary team determined she had cancer that started in her lungs and metastasized. She was spoiled in her foster home for her golden hours.

Markie crossed the rainbow bridge at 3 years old. She was adopted out, seemingly healthy, and after an ER visit it was determined she had dilated cardiomyopathy, a rare and eventually fatal heart disease. She was returned to AID. With a strong medication regimen, support from a veterinary cardiologist and lots of snuggles, Markie survived 6 months in her loving foster home.
Janey and Darla are sisters who were adopted out by AID as kittens. In their 13th year of life they were surrendered back to AID in poor health condition, emaciated with serious gastrointestinal issues. Our vet team helped us diagnose their issues, make these girls as comfortable as possible and they had loving accomodations in their foster home. They crossed the rainbow bridge in Nov 2025 (Darla) and June 2026 (Janey).
