Sasha the Snuggler
Sweet Sasha is Animals In Distress's longest resident cat. She was surrendered by her previous owners due to behavioral issues caused by Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease. This condition causes stress hormones to flare which cause crystals to form in the bladder; this leads to abdominal pain and pain while urinating. Sasha is doing really well in her foster home with her condition and stress levels being properly managed. She is currently eating the Rx Hills Science c/d Multi-stress Urinary Care wet food while taking anti-anxiety medication and living with cat friends that respect her boundaries. She has not had any accidents in a long time, still, the disclosure of her previous behavior makes potential adopters turn away and her time under AID's care lengthens. This sweet girl climbs into any lap that presents itself - even our visiting veterinarian. Until she has a permanent home and an everyday lap to climb in, you can support Sasha by becoming her sponsor.
Sasha is available for adoption, and for a foster-to-adopt.
