TNR fund

To AID, feral/community cats deserve the same love and respect as domesticated indoor cats; the difference is how we are able to love them in a way that they will accept. To improve the life of an outdoor feral cat is to trap-neuter-vaccinate and release them back to their home. This:
-
Stops male cats from a life of vicious fighting
-
Stops female cats from being impregnated and giving birth up to 4 times a year for many years (who wants to do that?)
-
Protects the cats against deadly infectious diseases (feline panleukopenia, calicivirus, rabies, etc).
-
Prevents vulnerable kittens from being born outside (40% of them do not survive past 6 months)

When we happen upon a feral cat that has a wound, we make sure it is cleaned out, stitched up, antibiotics are given, and time is given to heal prior to release. Female cats that need extra time to recover before release are given the chance to.
Property owners generally cover the cost of TNR, but sometimes they won't or properties are abandoned. AID does not recuperate any of the cost of TNR through adoption fees. We rely entirely on donations to be able to help community cats. With your help, we can continue improving the lives of our feral feline friends.
